Our Fees
At Happy Families Nannies, we provide a bespoke, professional recruitment service tailored to each family’s individual requirements. Every search is carefully managed from initial consultation through to successful placement, ensuring the highest standards throughout the recruitment process.
Registration Fee
Before we begin your personalised nanny search, a non-refundable Registration Fee of £99 is payable.
This confirms your instruction for Happy Families Nannies to commence the recruitment process and covers the initial consultation, advertising, candidate sourcing and search administration.
The Registration Fee is separate from, and is not deducted from, any Placement Fee.
Permanent Nanny Placements
(12 weeks or longer)
Standard Placement Fee
15% of the nanny’s gross annual salary
Minimum fee: £1,500
Our Placement Fee includes:
- Initial consultation
- Advertising your vacancy
- Candidate sourcing
- Screening and interviews
- Reference verification
- Compliance and document checks
- Interview coordination
- Offer negotiation
- Ongoing support through to placement
The Placement Fee becomes payable once your chosen candidate accepts your offer of employment.
Exclusive Agency Service
Families who choose to appoint Happy Families Nannies on an exclusive basis benefit from a reduced placement fee.
Exclusive Placement Fee
12% of the nanny’s gross annual salary
To qualify:
- Exclusive instruction must be agreed before your search begins.
- The exclusive period lasts 8 weeks.
- During this period you agree not to instruct another nanny or recruitment agency for the same role.
If no suitable candidate has been introduced during the eight-week exclusivity period, you are free to appoint additional agencies whilst retaining the discounted fee for any candidate subsequently introduced by Happy Families Nannies.
Temporary Nannies & Paid Trial Periods
(Up to 12 weeks)

If a temporary placement later becomes permanent, the temporary placement fee already paid will be deducted from the permanent placement fee.
Replacement Guarantee
Permanent placements include our complimentary replacement service.
Should the nanny withdraw before starting, resign within the first 8 weeks, or their employment ends within the first 8 weeks for qualifying reasons, we will use reasonable endeavours to introduce up to four suitable replacement candidates, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
As every family and placement is unique, our replacement guarantee is subject to the conditions set out within our full Terms & Conditions.
Payment Terms
- £99 Registration Fee payable before the search begins.
- Placement Fee payable within 7 days of invoice or before the nanny’s start date (whichever is sooner).
- All fees are subject to our Terms & Conditions.

What Our Placement Fee Includes
Our placement fee is fully inclusive and covers:
- Advertising and promotion of your role
- In-depth pre-screening and interviews
- Comprehensive reference checks
- Candidate shortlisting
- Interview coordination
- Offer negotiation and placement support
Changes to Hours or Salary
- If, within 12 months of placement, your nanny’s contracted hours or gross annual salary increase by 10% or more(for example, moving from part-time to full-time hours), an additional placement fee may apply.
- Any additional fee is calculated only on the increased portion, with credit given for the placement fee already paid. Full details are outlined in our Terms & Conditions.
Nanny Contracts & Documentation
For full-time permanent placements, we can provide a personalised and finalised nanny contract, ready for presentation prior to the nanny’s start date. This ensures clarity, compliance, and peace of mind for both families and nannies.
