A warm and welcoming family based just off Hampstead High Street are looking for an experienced, proactive and professional Housekeeper to become a valued long-term member of their family.
The family have three lovely children: a baby girl (8 months), a little boy (4 years) and a daughter (6 years). Whilst this is primarily a housekeeping role, they are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around children and is happy to provide occasional support when needed, particularly with the baby during the day and the older children after school from time to time.
Mum is currently at home but plans to return to work in the future. She is very hands-on and is looking for someone who is happy to follow her lead, work to the family’s routines and take pride in maintaining the home. They are hoping to find someone who enjoys becoming part of family life and is willing to muck in wherever needed.
A Balanced Role – The priority in this position is ensuring the family home is beautifully maintained and runs effortlessly day to day. However, there will be occasions when Mum would appreciate an extra pair of hands with the baby or help after school with the older children. On those occasions, your focus will naturally shift to supporting the children.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the home to an exceptionally high standard.
- General housekeeping.
- Laundry and ironing, including the care of luxury clothing.
- Changing bed linen and towels.
- Caring for delicate household items, including silverware and glassware.
- Preparing healthy family meals.
- Keeping the kitchen beautifully organised.
- Household organisation and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Communicating with Mum regarding household supplies or anything requiring attention.
- Providing occasional care for the baby whilst Mum attends to other tasks.
- Helping with the older children after school when required.
The Ideal Candidate.
You will:
- Have previous experience working as a Housekeeper or Housekeeper/Nanny within a private household.
- Take genuine pride in maintaining a beautifully organised home.
- Have excellent laundry and ironing skills.
- Be confident caring for luxury clothing and household items.
- Enjoy preparing healthy family meals.
- Be warm, proactive, organised and happy to use your initiative.
- Be child-friendly and confident caring for a baby when needed.
- Be happy to follow Mum’s routines and preferred ways of doing things, with excellent attention to detail.
- Be flexible, adaptable and enjoy becoming a valued member of the household.
- Have proven longevity in previous roles and be looking for a long-term position.
A confident driver would be a bonus but is not essential. Parking is not available.
Hours – Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm (45 hours per week).
Additional afternoon hours are available for the right person if desired. Babysitting on occasion would be appreciated.
Salary – Up to £53,820 gross per annum, depending on experience and suitability (£21-£23 gross per hour).
Start Date – September 2026 (the family are happy to wait for the right person).

- Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one).
- Paediatric First Aid (or willing to update).
- Right to Work in the UK.
