A lovely family in Dulwich, SE21 is looking for an experienced, warm and highly organised Part-Time Housekeeper / Household Assistant to help keep their busy family home running smoothly.
This is a permanent, live-out role for someone who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully organised home, has excellent attention to detail and is confident using their initiative.
The family has two young boys, aged 3 and 1, and employs a full-time nanny, so this is primarily a housekeeping and household support position rather than a childcare role. You should, however, be comfortable working around young children and alongside the nanny.
HOURS
The family can offer considerable flexibility and would ideally consider:
Option 1 – Preferred: Monday to Friday mornings / five half-days per week.
Option 2:
Two or three full days per week.
Approximately 20–30 hours per week, with exact days and hours to be agreed with the right candidate. Fridays are slightly less preferable as one parent usually works from home.
START DATE
September 2026, although there is some flexibility for the right person.
SALARY
£21 gross per hour
Approximately £21,840–£32,760 gross per annum, depending on agreed hours.
THE ROLE
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep and organisation of the home, including:
- Cleaning and tidying throughout the home to a high standard
- Family laundry, ironing, bed linen and wardrobe care
- Keeping bedrooms, living areas, kitchen, cupboards and storage areas organised
- Preparing healthy, varied meals for the family, primarily the parents
- Occasional simple meal preparation for the children
- Meal planning, grocery shopping and keeping household supplies stocked
- Running errands and receiving deliveries
- Managing bins and recycling
- Liaising with tradespeople when required
- Watering plants and helping with general household organisation
- Spotting what needs attention and dealing proactively with day-to-day household tasks
Cooking is an important part of the role. The family enjoys fresh, healthy and varied food and would love someone comfortable planning meals, preparing food in advance and managing the grocery shop.
