A warm and welcoming family based in the beautiful De Beauvoir area of Hackney (N1)are looking for an experienced, nurturing and proactive nanny to care for their gorgeous 10-month-old baby and become a valued long-term part of their family. You will need to be a full UK driving licence holder.
A Hindi or Punjabi speaker would be a wonderful advantage, although this is not essential.
Ideally, the nanny will be happy to accompany the family on occasional UK and overseas trips when Mum is travelling for work. Overnight stays may occasionally be required and will be additionally compensated. Flexibility to travel would be a wonderful advantage, but it is not essential, and the family are happy to consider an excellent candidate who is unable to travel.
The family particularly value the Montessori philosophy and would love a nanny who naturally encourages independence, confidence and curiosity through everyday experiences. They are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with babies and toddlers and is passionate about supporting early development through play, exploration and gentle guidance.
Both parents are hands-on and involved, although the nanny will have sole charge during much of the working day. Mum’s career occasionally involves travel and filming commitments, the baby’s father has flexibility to enable him to be home for handover each evening.
A cleaner is employed, so this is very much a childcare-focused role, with only the usual nursery duties and occasional light household support required.
Start Date
September 2026, allowing time for a settling-in period before Mum returns to work in October.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm
– 50 hours per week.
Salary
£52,000–£60,000 gross per annum, depending on experience, qualifications and suitability (£20-£23 gross hourly).
The Role
Your days will centre around providing loving, attentive care whilst supporting the baby’s development and daily routines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings.
- Attending local baby classes, music groups and developmental activities.
- Supporting feeding, weaning, naps and established routines.
- Encouraging independence through Montessori-inspired activities.
- Supporting the family’s gentle elimination communication approach.
- Preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the baby, including some meal preparation in advance.
- Children’s laundry and keeping the nursery, toys, clothing and play areas clean and organised.
- Sterilising bottles and feeding equipment.
- Helping with baby food shopping lists and supplies.
- Packing baby essentials for occasional trips.
- Providing regular updates to parents regarding feeding, sleep, activities and development.

Essential Requirements
Enhanced DBS, Paediatric First Aid, excellent checkable references, right to work in the UK and non-smoker. An Early Years or childcare qualification is preferred.
